Party game · one phone · 2 to 12 players
Would You Rather
Two choices, no easy answers. One player reads the question out, everyone picks a side, and you tap the one most of the room chose.
How to play
Pick a deck
Family, Friends, Office or Teens. Type the players’ names, or leave them blank.
Read it out
The phone shows whose turn it is to read. Everyone picks one of the two options, out loud or by pointing.
Tap the favourite
Tap the option most of you chose, or “It’s a tie”. Pass skips a question. Then the phone goes to the next reader.
- There are no right answers and no points: the fun is in hearing why people chose what they chose.
- Pass whenever a question doesn’t suit your group. It is never shown again until you have seen the whole deck on this device.
- Play 15, 30 or 50 questions, or keep going until someone taps End game.

How do you play Would You Rather?
One person reads out a question with two options, for example “Would you rather be able to fly or breathe underwater?”. Everyone chooses one option and, if they like, explains why. Then the next person reads.
Can we play Would You Rather with kids?
Yes. The Family deck was written for children from about eight, playing with parents and grandparents: silly, kind and with nothing scary or rude.
Do we need an app or an account?
No. Open the page on one phone, tablet or laptop and pass it around. It is free, with no sign-up and no adverts, and it works offline after your first visit.
Will we see the same questions again?
Not soon. Couch Club remembers on this device which prompts you have seen in each deck and deals new ones first. Only when you have seen the whole deck do they come round again, and the game tells you when that happens.
What if the phone locks or the page reloads?
The game is saved on the phone after every tap. Open the page again and tap Carry on: same players, same deck, same place. Names and answers never leave the device.
