How it works
Type, don’t click
Names fill in as you type them. No Enter, no multiple choice. Capitals, accents and “FC” don’t matter.
Give up any time
The ones you missed appear on the board, clearly marked. Practise just those until they stick.
Untimed, or against the clock
Take as long as you like, or race a two- or five-minute clock. Your best on each list is kept on this device.
Questions
Football Club is a small, honest quiz: fixed historical lists, every answer checked, nothing to sign up for.
What is Football Club?
A free football quiz of complete lists. Each list asks you to name every member of one fixed set: every club in a league season, every nation that has won a trophy, every player in a famous line-up. Type the names you know; each one you get right fills its place on the board.
Do I have to press Enter?
No. A name fills in the moment you have typed it, and the box clears for the next one. Enter works too. When a name is also the start of another answer (say “Bayer” and “Bayern”), keep typing, or press Enter to add the shorter one.
How exact does my spelling have to be?
Capitals, accents, hyphens, spaces and punctuation never matter, “&” and “and” are the same, and club words like FC, AFC, CF or “the” can be left out. Common short names and nicknames count too. One typo is forgiven in longer names, but only where it can’t be mistaken for another answer on the same list (then press Enter, or wait a moment).
Is there a timer?
Not unless you want one. Lists are untimed; for a challenge, choose a two- or five-minute run before you start. In Calm there is no timer at all.
What happens when I give up?
The answers you missed appear on the board, marked “missed”. You can practise just those, try the whole list again, share your result or go on to the next list.
Where do the lists come from?
Each list says exactly what counts and as of when (a final table, a final’s kick-off). Every answer is checked against at least two independent sources, and a server re-reads those pages to confirm every name is there before a list is published. The sources page lists them all.
Why are there no crests, kits or photos?
Football Club draws its own pictures: a pitch, a ball, a corner flag, a map. It isn’t connected to any club, league or competition, and uses their names only to state the facts.
What is League Atlas?
A map game inside Football Club: the clubs of one league season appear one by one (Premier League 2023–24, Eredivisie 2023–24, Bundesliga 2023–24, La Liga 2023–24, Serie A 2023–24), and you drop a pin where each club’s ground is. You see how many kilometres off you were, and the league’s map fills up. Your result is your average distance. It works by tap, click, keyboard, or by choosing the town from four.
Is it free? Do I need an account?
Free, no account, no ads. Your progress, best results and the lists you’ve finished are kept in your own browser.
