Host a quiz night
Put the quiz on a TV or projector. Each team joins on one phone with a code, picks a name and answers there; the big screen shows the questions, how every team did in each round and a final reveal from last place to first. Each team has one joker to double a round. Or play Beat the Quizmaster: the whole room answers together to reach the Quizmaster’s target.

What is Pub Quiz?
A free quiz in the style of a pub quiz night: fifty questions in five rounds of ten (general knowledge, a picture round, numbers, a theme of the week and a Wipeout round). A new edition comes out every Friday at 6:00 PM Amsterdam time (5:00 PM in London).
When does the new quiz come out?
Every Friday at 6:00 PM in Amsterdam, all year round (the time follows summer time, so it is always 6:00 PM there and 5:00 PM in London). The home page counts down to the next one. Until then, last week’s quiz and every older one stay playable in the archive.
How do I play with friends or as a team?
Open Host a quiz night on a laptop connected to a TV. Each team joins on one phone with a code and answers there, and the big screen shows the questions, the round scores and the final reveal. Every team gets one joker that doubles a round. Or play Beat the Quizmaster: everyone answers together against a target score.
Can I type my answers instead of picking?
Yes. Before you start, choose “Harder: type your answers”. Small typos in longer answers are forgiven; common other spellings are accepted. The numbers round is always typed.
How does the Wipeout round work?
Ten questions of one kind. Answer or pass: a pass scores nothing, a right answer scores a point, and one wrong answer wipes out the whole round. Knowing when to pass is the game.
How are the questions checked?
Every question is researched from two independent sources, and a server re-reads the pages to confirm the facts are there before a question is published. Each answer credits the sources that were confirmed.
Is it free? Do I need an account?
Free, no account, no ads. Your answers and scores are kept in your own browser. Pub Quiz is family-friendly: no drinks needed and nothing grown-up in the questions.
