Sources and checks
Every question is researched from two independent sources, such as official bodies, museums, encyclopaedias and reference works. Before an edition is published, a server fetches each source page again and checks that the quoted fact is really there. A question ships only when at least one source is confirmed this way, and only confirmed sources are credited; some sites block automatic checks, so a few questions show one source although they were researched from two.
Questions and explanations are our own wording. The pictures are drawn by us from open data: flags from the flag set Atlas Play uses (flag-icons, MIT licence), country outlines from Natural Earth (public domain), silhouettes drawn in code for Size Duel. Corrections are welcome at support@twindle.nl.
The first edition’s sources appear here when it opens.
