Party game · one phone · 2 to 12 players
Hot Seat
One player takes the hot seat and answers as many questions as they can before the time runs out. Someone else reads them from the phone.
How to play
Take the hot seat
The phone names the player in the hot seat. Give it to someone else, who reads the questions out.
Answer quickly
Tap “Answered: next” after each answer, or Pass to skip a question. The clock runs for 30, 60 or 90 seconds.
Swap
When time is up, the phone says how many questions were answered and the next player takes the seat.
- Quick answers are best: one word is enough.
- The player in the hot seat can pass any question, or skip their whole turn.
- Keep points (one per answer) or play just for fun.

What is the hot seat game?
One player sits in the “hot seat” and answers quick-fire questions about themselves, like “What is your comfort food?”, for a minute while the others read them out. It is a fun way to get to know people.
Is Hot Seat good for work?
Yes, as an icebreaker. The Office deck is about work habits, desks, lunches and favourite tools, never about private life.
Do we need an app or an account?
No. Open the page on one phone, tablet or laptop and pass it around. It is free, with no sign-up and no adverts, and it works offline after your first visit.
Will we see the same questions again?
Not soon. Couch Club remembers on this device which prompts you have seen in each deck and deals new ones first. Only when you have seen the whole deck do they come round again, and the game tells you when that happens.
What if the phone locks or the page reloads?
The game is saved on the phone after every tap. Open the page again and tap Carry on: same players, same deck, same place. Names and answers never leave the device.
