Two Truths and a Lie
One player says three things about themselves: two true, one made up. Everyone else asks questions, votes for the lie, and the phone reveals who spotted it.
How to play
Write in private
The phone goes to the teller behind a curtain. They type three statements (or plan to say them), mark which one is the lie, and get an idea if they are stuck.
Ask and vote
The group reads the statements, asks questions while the optional timer runs, then everyone taps their guess.
Reveal
The phone reveals the lie. One point for each player who spotted it, and one for the teller for each player fooled.
- Share only what you are happy to share: harmless facts make the best lies.
- The teller can skip their turn at any point.
- Points are optional; the discussion timer is 30, 60 or 90 seconds, or off.

How do you play Two Truths and a Lie?
A player tells the group three statements about themselves. Two are true and one is false. The others ask questions, then guess which one is the lie. Couch Club keeps the lie hidden on the phone until everyone has voted.
What are good ideas for Two Truths and a Lie?
Pick small, surprising facts: a food you have tried, a place you have slept, a prize you once won. Each deck has 40 ideas to get you started, and the phone suggests one when it is your turn.
Do we need an app or an account?
No. Open the page on one phone, tablet or laptop and pass it around. It is free, with no sign-up and no adverts, and it works offline after your first visit.
Will we see the same questions again?
Not soon. Couch Club remembers on this device which prompts you have seen in each deck and deals new ones first. Only when you have seen the whole deck do they come round again, and the game tells you when that happens.
What if the phone locks or the page reloads?
The game is saved on the phone after every tap. Open the page again and tap Carry on: same players, same deck, same place. Names and answers never leave the device.
