Size Duel › Print-and-play cards
Bigger or Smaller? Print-and-play cards
A card game for the kitchen table and the classroom: turn up two things, everyone points at the bigger one, then turn the cards round to read the answer. 54 cards from Size Duel, each with our own drawing and a QR code to see both drawn to scale.
- 54 cards, 3 suits of 18
- 2–6 players, ages 7+
- A4 and US Letter
- Rules, teacher notes and answer key

How to print and play
- Print. Download the cards PDF for A4 or US Letter and print it at 100% (actual size), ideally on thin card. For backs, use the double-sided PDF.
- Cut. Cut along the grey lines or between the corner marks: six sheets give 54 cards of 63 × 88 mm.
- Sort and shuffle. Make three face-down piles, one per suit: length, mass and height.
- Play. Turn up two cards of one suit, everyone points at the bigger one, then turn the cards round to read the values.
The rules in short
The classic game
Pick a suit pile and turn up its top two cards. Everyone points at the one they think is bigger: longer, heavier or taller. Turn both round: everyone who was right scores a point. First to 10 wins.
Three suits, always fair
Length, Mass and Height are never mixed. Inside a suit, the bigger card is always at least 15% bigger, and natural ranges never overlap, the same rule as Size Duel’s daily duels.
More ways to play
Higher or lower on your own, Line them up (put five cards in order), and a classroom version where pupils stand left or right. All in the rules PDF.
The 54 cards
Listed by name; the answer key in the rules PDF puts each suit in order.

What it practises
Units from micrometres to kilometres and grams to 1030 kg, comparing and ordering, estimating before measuring, ratios and powers of ten.
Checked numbers
Every value comes from Size Duel’s size deck, checked against two independent sources. The QR code on each card opens its page with the drawing and the sources.
Prints in black and white
Suits are named in words and have their own symbol, so greyscale printing works. Thin card (160–200 g/m²) stops the values showing through.
Using the cards
Free to print for personal, classroom and library use. Please don’t sell or republish the cards. No sign-up, no email: the links above are the files.
