Sea Haven Towers
All 52 cards are face up: ten columns of five, and the last two cards in the four free cells. Build down in suit and send every card home to its foundation. Every deal here has been checked solvable.
How to play Sea Haven Towers
How to play
Build the columns down in the same suit: the 8 of hearts on the 9 of hearts. Any card can go into an empty free cell, but only a king, or a run that starts with a king, can go into an empty column. Drag a card or an ordered run, or tap it and then tap where it should go. Double-tap sends a card to its foundation, or else to the best spot.
Moving runs
Strictly you move one card at a time, so an ordered run of one suit moves in one go when there is room to do it card by card: one card more than you have empty free cells. Every card that can go to its foundation moves there by itself.
Levels
Classic is standard Sea Haven Towers: kings only into empty columns. Relaxed lets any card or run fill an empty column, and then empty columns help move runs as in FreeCell: the limit doubles for each empty column you are not moving into. Both levels deal only checked solvable games; the daily is Classic.
Tips
Free the aces and twos first, and keep at least one cell empty when you can. Before you fill an empty column, make sure a king is ready to go there, or the column is wasted.
Questions
How is Sea Haven Towers different from FreeCell?
Sea Haven Towers deals ten columns of five instead of eight columns, and two of the four free cells start with a card in them. Columns build down in the same suit rather than alternating colours, and only a king can fill an empty column.
Can every game of Sea Haven Towers be won?
Most random deals can be won, but not all. Every deal here, on both levels and in the daily, was first solved by a computer and the solution was replayed through the rules, so a solution always exists.
How many cards can I move at once?
In Classic, one more than your empty free cells, because empty columns only take kings. With two empty cells you can move a run of three. In Relaxed, each empty column doubles that number.
Why do cards move to the foundations on their own?
Because you build in suit, the only card that could ever sit on a card is the next lower card of its suit, and that one is already home. So sending a card up can never hurt, and the game does it for you.
What does the hint do?
A solver looks for a way to finish from your current position and highlights the first move with a short reason. If it finds a full solution, the hint says the deal is still solvable.
