How it works

No ads, no account, no email. Just a door a day.

  1. Open a door a day

From 1 December, a new door opens at midnight, your time. Tap it to see what’s inside.

  2. Play it there and then

Each door opens a short puzzle in one of our games. It works on a phone, a tablet or a computer, with nothing to install.

  3. Catch up any time

Missed a day? Earlier doors stay open. The calendar ticks off the doors you’ve opened and finished, on your device only.

Made by Idistic, the small studio behind No Fuss Games. Winter puzzles from around the world, for everyone, whatever you celebrate.

Questions

Is the No Fuss Advent calendar free?

Yes. All 24 doors are free to open and play. There are no ads, no account to make and no email address to give, and nothing to install: every door opens in your browser, on a phone, a tablet or a computer.

When does each door open?

Door 1 opens on Tuesday 1 December and door 24 on Thursday 24 December. Each door opens at midnight in your own time zone, so it works the same wherever you are. Doors you have missed stay open, so you can catch up whenever you like.

What is behind the doors?

Twenty-four small things to play from across No Fuss Games: 5 winter jigsaws, 4 word searches, 4 winter pictures to colour, 4 “snowed in” mysteries, 4 holiday numbers, 2 winter spot the difference and a family quiz. Each one takes a few minutes, or longer if you like.

Can we play as a family or with colleagues?

Yes. The calendar is the same for everyone, so you can open each day’s door together or send the link to friends and colleagues. Door 24 is a quiz for the whole family, played together on one TV with phones as buzzers.

Do I have to finish a door on its day?

No. There is no timer, no streak to lose and no score to beat. Open a door when it suits you; the calendar ticks off the ones you have opened and finished.

Is it a Christmas calendar?

It counts down the days of December to 24 December, like a classic Advent calendar, with winter puzzles from around the world. Everyone is welcome to play, whatever they celebrate.

What does the calendar remember about me?

Only, in your own browser, which doors you have opened, so it can tick them off. The games keep your progress in your browser too. Nothing is sent to us and there is no account. Clearing this site’s data in your browser removes it.
