Privacy
Piece Party is run by Idistic, the product studio of TWINDLE NEDERLAND B.V. (the Netherlands). We keep this simple: we collect as little as possible, there is no account and we never ask for your name or email.
Your photos
Photos you turn into puzzles are stored only in your own browser (IndexedDB). They are not uploaded to our servers. Deleting a photo in Piece Party, or clearing your browser's site data, removes it.
Your progress
Saved games, streaks, best times, settings and daily results are stored in your browser's local storage, on your device. They are not sent to our servers (except the anonymous daily result below). Clearing your browser's site data removes them.
Comparing daily results
When you finish the daily puzzle at the daily size, Piece Party can tell you how you did compared with other players (for example "Faster than 72% of today's players"). To do that, your browser sends one result to our comparison service at pd-api.idistic.com, which Piece Party shares with Puzzle Desk: the game, the day, the number of pieces, your time, moves and hints, together with a random id that your browser made up the first time. The id is kept only in your browser and lets us count each player once per puzzle; we store it only as a one-way code and never connect it to your name, email or an account. Results are deleted after 60 days.
The home page also asks how many people finished today's puzzle. To protect the service against abuse we briefly use your IP address for rate limiting; it is scrambled with a key that changes every day and is never stored as is.
You can turn this off at any time: open Settings (the slider icon at the top of the page) and switch off Compare daily results. Nothing is sent after that.
Analytics
We use Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that we host ourselves. It does not use cookies and does not build a profile of you. It counts page views and a few game events (for example "a puzzle was solved, 64 pieces") so we can see what people enjoy. No personal data is shared with third parties. The details, including how Umami counts visits, are in the legal details below.
Offline play
To make Piece Party load quickly and work offline, your browser keeps a copy of the pages, scripts and pictures you open. This copy stays on your device.
About the pictures
The illustrations are original artwork drawn in code. The photo-style pictures are AI-generated for Piece Party; they don't show real places, people or animals.
Hosting
The site is hosted on a server in Germany (Hetzner). Like every web server, it briefly processes your IP address to deliver the page.

The legal details
This part is what the GDPR (article 13) asks us to tell you, kept short.
Who is responsible
Piece Party is run by TWINDLE NEDERLAND B.V. (trading as Idistic), a Dutch private limited company. That company is the controller for the personal data described on this page. Contact: support@twindle.nl (English or Dutch). Company details.
What we use, why, and for how long
- Sending you the pages. Our web server uses your IP address and the address of the page you ask for, only to answer the request. We keep no access logs. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a working, secure website (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Limiting abuse. To stop anyone flooding the comparison service, the server counts requests per scrambled IP address: a one-way code made with a key that is thrown away every day. Legal basis: legitimate interest in keeping the service available (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Kept: one day at most.
- Visitor statistics. With Umami, which we host ourselves, we count page views and a few game events: the page, the site you came from, your browser, operating system, device type, screen size and language. Umami works out your country, region and city from your IP address without storing the address, and recognises repeat visits within a month by a one-way code made from your IP address, browser details and a secret that changes every month, which cannot be turned back into either. It sets no cookies and cannot follow you from one site to another. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in learning which pages and games people use, so we can improve them (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Kept: 25 months.
- Comparing daily results. When you finish a daily puzzle: the game, day, level, time, moves, hints and score, with a random id that is kept only in your browser and stored by us only as a one-way code. We never connect it to your name, email or an account. Legal basis: legitimate interest in showing you how you did against other players (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); you can switch it off in Settings. Kept: 60 days, then deleted.
- When you email us. Your email address and your message, to answer you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in helping you (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), or our contract with you when it is about a purchase (art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Kept: up to 2 years after the conversation ends.
Who else is involved
- Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany) runs the servers this site and our services use, in its data centre in Nuremberg, Germany, as our processor.
- Nobody else. We don’t sell data and don’t share it with advertisers.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the personal data we have about you, to correct or delete it, to restrict its use, or to give it to you in a format you can take elsewhere. You can also object to what we do on the basis of legitimate interest (statistics, abuse limits and comparisons). Email support@twindle.nl; we answer within one month. Because we don’t ask who you are, we often can’t link stored data to you; tell us which site you used and when, and we’ll do what we can. Data kept in your own browser is yours: clear this site’s data in your browser settings to delete it. Every No Fuss Games game lives on nofussgames.com, so clearing that site’s data removes your progress in all of them at once; each game keeps its own saves under its own names, so nothing else is affected. Switching off “Compare daily results” in Settings stops the comparison at once. A content blocker that blocks stats.idistic.com stops the statistics entirely; the site works the same.
You never have to give us personal data to use this site. We make no automated decisions about you.
If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or to the authority in your own country. We’d appreciate hearing from you first.
