The Silent Bell
Regatta morning, and the harbour bell is meant to ring the boats out. Hugo, Jonah and Ada are all down at the harbour early. At nine o’clock, the bell only goes thunk.
What happened
The harbour bell on the quay was muffled, wrapped tight in a coil of rope.
