On New Year’s Day, Fernley walks off its pudding along the cliff path, turning back at a red marker. Kit, Basil and Edie were stewards this year. By noon, twenty walkers have marched straight on to Hollinsby.

What happened

At the kissing gate, the turning flag was pulled up and rolled away.
