When a big tide is due, the Fernley Inn puts up its flood defences and hopes for the best. Dev, Jonah and Ada were all at the inn on Sunday evening. On Monday morning, the cellar is a foot deep in seawater.

What happened

At the cellar hatch, the sandbag was moved away just before the tide came in.
