The Early Midnight
At the Anchor, the whole of Fernley counts down to the new year together. Edie, Hugo and Cora were there as usual. Everyone cheers and links arms, and then the church bells ring midnight, eleven minutes later.
What happened
In the public bar, the pub clock was wound eleven minutes fast with the clock key.
