The Early Door
The library’s giant advent calendar covers a whole wall, and the town takes turns opening one door a day. Basil, Ada and Kit were all at the library after hours on the eleventh. On the morning of the twelfth, the day’s door is already open.
What happened
In the stairwell, someone stood on the step stool and opened the twelfth door early.
