How to play
Game Club asks about the video games many of us grew up with. Questions come in packs; a run is ten of them, from easy to harder, each with four choices and exactly one right answer.
Answer
Tap or click a choice, or press A, B, C or D (1 to 4 work too). There is no clock: take as long as you like. Your answer is final once picked.
See why
Straight after each answer you see whether you were right, the correct answer and a short explanation, with the sources it was checked against. Press Enter or the button to go on.
Your result
After ten questions you see how many you got right and a dot for each question: filled for right, open for wrong. Underneath, every question is listed with your answer and the right one. Then you can:
- Practise my misses: go through the questions you missed again, with the choices in a new order. Practice never changes your result.
- Another run: ten more questions from the same pack.
- Share: three short lines with the pack, your dots and how many you got right, and the link. No questions or answers are given away.
No repeats until you’ve seen the pack
This device remembers which questions you’ve had in each pack, so a new run brings questions you haven’t seen. Once you’ve seen them all, the pack starts over in a new mix. Runs mix easy, medium and hard questions, never ask two questions about the same game, and spread the right answers evenly over A, B, C and D.
The daily ten
Every day at midnight UTC there is a new daily ten, the same questions in the same order for everyone, drawn from every pack. Future days open on their day; past days can be played any time.
Calm
Calm is a setting for every No Fuss game on this device: larger text and buttons, stronger contrast, no animations and no best results. Switch it on in Settings (the sliders at the top) or on the Calm page.
Screen readers and keyboards
Each question is a heading followed by four labelled buttons. After you answer, the result and explanation are read out and the focus moves to the button for the next question. Everything works with the keyboard alone: letters or numbers to answer, Enter to go on, Tab to the buttons.
