How it works
- Type or paste your words, one per line. Spaces and accents are left out of the grid but kept in the list.
- Choose the grid size and difficulty: Easy (across and down), Medium (adds diagonals) or Hard (all directions, also backwards).
- Hide the word list for a challenge, or switch to lowercase letters for early readers.
- Press “Print / Save as PDF”. Press “New grid” for a different layout of the same words.
Questions
Will every word fit?
The maker places every word or tells you which ones didn’t fit, and why: a word longer than the grid, a word inside another word (“star” in “starfish”), or simply too many letters for the size. A bigger grid or a harder level (more directions) fixes most of them.
Can a word appear twice by accident?
No. The grid is checked so each word can be found in exactly one place, and the random letters never spell an unkind word.
Is there a watermark?
No. Each sheet has one small line at the very bottom, “Made with No Fuss Games · nofussgames.com/make”, so people know where to make their own. Nothing is printed across your cards or your puzzle.
Where do my words go?
Nowhere. The page makes your sheet on your own device; your words are never uploaded. Your settings are kept in the page address after the “#”, which browsers never send to a server. That’s also how “Copy link” works without an account.
